Suzanne Lyons, Producer/President, Snowfall Films, Inc.

In 1999 Ms. Lyons launched Snowfall Films and to date has produced/executive produced fourteen feature films and one pilot. These include: A BAFTA award-winning British comedy UNDERTAKING BETTY (aka “Plots With a View”), with actors Christopher Walken, Brenda Blethyn, Alfred Molina and Naomi Watts with Miramax Distribution; the thriller JERICHO MANSIONS staring James Caan, Genevieve Bujold, Maribel Verdu and Jennifer Tilly. JERICHO MANSIONS was an official selection at the Montreal Film Festival and the Beverly Hills Film Festival. She was an exec producer on the family comedy BAILEY’S BILLION$, starring Dean Cain, Laurie Holden, Tim Curry, and Jon Lovitz and on the drama, THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, based on J.T. LeRoy novel, starring Asia Argento, Marilyn Manson, Winona Ryder, Peter Fonda and Jeremy Renner. The film premiered at the Directors Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival.

Suzanne co-produced the family film THE CHAPERONE with the WWE, directed by Stephen Herek (“Mr. Holland’s Opus”) and starring Ariel Winter (“Modern Family”) and wrestling star Paul Levesque. She has produced three award-winning thrillers, CANDY STRIPERS distributed by Screen Gems and recently picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films, SÉANCE, written and directed by Mark L. Smith (“The Revenant”, “Twisters”) and winner of the Shockerfest award, and PORTAL, both distributed by Lionsgate and she’s exec produced DESERT OF BLOOD

Suzanne exec produced the thriller, THE CALLING, with Manis Films (“Ides of March”) and producer, Christine Vachon (“Boys Don’t Cry”, “Past Lives”). The cast includes Susan Sarandon, Ellen Burstyn, Donald Sutherland and Topher Grace. Suzanne produced a thriller titled MOST LIKELY TO DIE with MarVista Entertainment and a family action-adventure sci-fi film TIME TOYS with director/writer Mark Rosman (“A Cinderella Story”). In 2022/23 she worked with director/actor Reggie Currelley on his thriller, A DARK WAY OUT which shot in Atlanta, with Dermot Mulroney and Danny Trajo. She joined Currelley again in the fall of 2024 to produce a family drama film in Atlanta called “THE SECRET BETWEEN US” with writer/director Tamera Hill starring Michael Jai While, Lisa Arrindell and Victoria Rowell.

Current projects that are moving into production in 2026 and 2027 are: Suzanne’s Mark L. Smith’s (“Twisters” “The Revenant” “Boys in the Boat”) suspense thriller, HARDCOURT, with partners Rob Deege and Bleiberg Entertainment. They recently attached director Robert Lorenz (“In the Land of Saints and Sinners”). She has partnered with Lamont Pete and Sunset Pictures at Warner Brothers to produce IN MY LIFE, a John Lennon family feature film by writer/director Mark Rosman (“Time Toys”). Suzanne has teamed up with Lamont Pete, Denee Busby and award winning director Oz Scott on two feature projects written by David Abramowitz, a family drama/thriller, HEYOKA and a mystery thriller NAIROBI HEAT (based on the book).

Suzanne is in development with director Sean McNamara (“Reagan” “On a Wing and a Prayer”) on MOSAIC, an action packed thriller based on the novel by New York Times bestselling author Gayle Lynds. She’s optioned an award- winning screenplay by writers Kate Robbins and Jill Garson titled SCOUTS HONOR, a family action/drama about the boy scouts who served as spies in WWI. Suzanne has also optioned Mark L. Smith’s family drama, THE HUNTERS and Smith’s family/faith based script OF GHOSTS AND TRAINS. Suzanne joined director, Ellie Kanner on a teen comedy/horror film EVE OF DESTRUCTION by Bobby Sacher. She has partnered with Jeremy Pack on a psychological thriller THE BACK NINE by Jay Gable with interest from Dermot Mulroney and Eric Roberts. And Suzanne has partnered with Rob Deege on a VR/AI teen mystery/drama TV Pilot, WUNDERLAND by Christopher DeWan. She’s partnered with TV Producer Michelle Rubinstein on a female lead pilot in the vein of “Tracker” titled “THE FIXER”. Suzanne just optioned a TV series project, “THE GAME OF LIES” from Kimberly Diemert, and has partnered with Lamont Pete and Sunset Pictures. Suzanne has also optioned a number of Christmas projects.

Prior to her work as a film producer, Ms. Lyons was VP of Marketing for a Canadian Television station and Network where she also created, produced and directed news and series. She worked in Philadelphia as a sales agent selling film and TV for international distribution. When she moved to Los Angeles in the 90s she launched a film school with a focus on business, Flash Forward Institute, for people of all facets and levels of the industry. She’s done speaking engagements at well over 80 entertainment industry events and written a book “Indie Film Producing: The Craft of Low Budget Filmmaking” (Focal Press).
